U. S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR
'i Mr. Wilmarch, Assistant Chief Geologist, Office of Engineering i
Geology, called to ask the format and address we prefer that he use, in transmitting the report of Schlocker on Bodega "which had been requested by the AEC in the ACRS meeting of February 13th".
Knowing of no such request, I inquired into the matter $and
~
found that someone in the DIAR staff, at the suggestion of an unidentified ACRS member, had requested informally a copy.
4 of the remarks Schlocker had presented at the ACRS meeting l
(I later discovered that Iowenstein had made such a request of Anderson and independently Case had made a similar request of Clebsch.)
The Geologic Survey had taken this as a formal request of Wilmarth "under the new procedures", and was trying to find out our desires as to how this report, now revised and " polished up",should be transmitted. I asked him to delay in transmittal of the report until I could explore further the background of the request and promised to discuss the matter with him.
