l Docket 50-205 l l

i Mr. Adolph J. Ackerman Consulting Engineer 1250 Sherman Avenue Madison, Wisconsin

Dear Mr.. Ackerman:

This will reply to your letter of November 25, 1964, to the Director of Regulation and your letter of November 23, 1964, to me. Since the extra copies of the seismicity and tsunami report are available in this Division, I and since your letter to Mr. Harold Price arrived at the same time as your j l 1etter to me, Mr. Price has asked me to reply in his behalf. 1 l

1 Enclosed is the seismicity and tsunami report which you requested in your letter to Mr. Price. I am unable to enclose copies of amendments 8 and i 7 of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company application. The Atomic Energy I Commission was not supplied with extra copies of the amendmente for public  !

distribution. They are, of course, available for public inspection in the Commission's Public Document Room at 1717 H Street, N.W. , Washington, D.C.

Alternatively, members of the public may order specially reproduced copies in accordance with the uniform AEC pricing policy for copies of documents made on office copying machines. The price is 20c per page for pages no l larger than 8-1/2" x 14". Amendment 9 consists of approximately 46 pages, and Amendment 8 consists of 75 pages. If you wish to order copies, please address a letter to Mr. Stanley Robinson, Chief, Public Proceedings Branch, i Office of the Secretary, Atomic Energy Commission, Washington, D.C. I l

l Mr. Robert A. Williamson has acted as a consultant to the regulatory staff I

l on several occasions. While he did cor.nont informally on the proposed Bodega Head reactor, he did not prepare a formal report for the regulatory staff on the project.

Sincerely yours, l T:]

Two Rector Street New York 6, New York j Dear Mr. Reichie  ;

1 l In reply to your r t letter of inquiry you are correct in  !

your assumption the the type of reactor involved had nothing ]

to do with the regula eccelusions reached on the Bodega  :

Beed Nuclear Power P1 . The l been the same if the t had, been point powered at issue by would have a pressurized j water reactor. / l 1

As regards the San Onofre a si=11 ** situation bolds. j Although the reactor to be t there is pressurized water,  !

we see nothing that would have cluded building a boiling  !

water reactor at the same locat .

S oerely yours, l
