UNITED STATES COWRNMENT Memorandum To
- The Files r;xts: June 17, 1963 H. L. Price, Directc ( of Regulation FROM :
sunJter: BODEGA HEAD Sc - l2 0' I called Mr. Arthur Baker,. Associate Director of the Geological Survey on Friday, June 14 to find out the status of the U. S. Geological Survey report on Bodega Head.
He told me that he had discussed the matter with his subordinates that day.
He said a draft report is now under reviev in the Bureau and he thought it would be completed in a week or ten days.
He said it would then go to the Department of the Interior for review and expressed a hope that the Department would merely transmit the Survey's report to us.
He estimated that the report would reach us within two weeks.
He said that the report would not deal with the geo-physical problem which he said he had mentioned to me in my conversation with him on May 29.
I reminded-him that the geophysical question was not raised at that time but apparently had come up later from his staff.
He was not aware of the Secretary's letter to Dr. Wilson of June 3 which said they were waiting to hear from me.
He agreed 'that our conversations of May 28 and May 29 had eliminated any need for further discussions on the report to be mad; by the Survey.
