Dear Mr. Reichle:
In reply to your recent letter of inquiry, you are correct in your assumption that the type of reactor involved had nothing to do with the regulatory con-clusions reached on the Bodega Head Nuclear Power Plant.
The only point at issue related to the possi-bility of differential ground motion in the event of an earthquake.
Although the reactor to be built at San Onofre is pressurized water, we see nothing that would have precluded building a boiling water or other acceptable reactor at the same location.
