At the ca==1 mat <=i's request, the U. S. Geological Survey, Departament of. the Interior, has been oceducting a' thorough field stue of the geologr of andega ser since early May. In addition, expert consultants have been retained to assist the AEC regniatory staff in evaluating Pacifie Gas & Reatric Company's appliostion eth suspect to the satanologr of the area and etmetaral design of tha proposed plant,. The Coast and Geodetic Survey of the U. 8.' Department of Commerce'also is assisting us in our evaluation of the esLamology.
