i, President L'fndon B. Johnson The White House i

Washington, D.C.

i Dear President Johnsons One doesn't have to be an engineer to understand that i

r-'

putting an atomic energy reactor on the San Andreas Fault in northern I

California is a pretty dangerous business..Yet that is precisely.what the Pacific Gas and Electric Company is proposing.to the Atomic Energy Sonunission.

The San Andreas 1% ult is a break in the earth's crust that produced the San Francisco earthquake in 1906. If another' earthquake should occur -

at this spot, with a reactor on it, an avNL lot of radiation would be showered on an awful lot of people. Clearly, the reactor should be put on a safer spot, and lovely Bodega Head (site of the proposed reactor) emiserved as a natural area.

Sincerely yours, M *,
