Facific Gas and Elastric Cagaser has applied to the Camdssion for a l
permit to construct a 325,000 electrical kilowatt unclear power plant at Rodega Bay, appreatmately 50 miles morthoest of San Fransisee. Construstime of the plant, to be powered by a boiling water reactor, is proposed en a 225-acre tract at the south and of hedega Head, a y==f=nela, separattag Bodega harbor from the Pacific Ocean. A public hearing will be saadmind by ABC at Santa Rees, Califerais, to seasider the applicaties of 7065. The report from the AMS followed its review of the applicaties.
General Electric Company, in ceajunction with Empire State Atamic Development Associates, Ise., of New Yark, is enestructing an experimental superheat reacter at General Electric's Vallecites Atomia laboratory maar 1
Pisasenton, Califersia. The reactor womid have ma initial capacity of

l 12,500 thermal kilevatts, and is designed as a developmental and test I
facility principally for the development of superheat roaster feel elements.
The reactor tattially would superheat steam from a feasil-fueled better.
The Advisory Committee en teacter Safeguards has reviewed General Electrie's application for a 119eese to operate the experimental superheat reacter.
