Dear Mr. O'Connor:
I have read your article in the BULLETIN of the U. S. Army" l
Audit Agency of June 1963. I am glad we, the people, have l
regulatory agencies of the federal government to help keep our actions in line for the good of all, rather than the good of a few. To do this is a tou6h job. I imagine you receive more gripes than compliments; hence, I am sending off this letter.
However, before saying "Yours truly" I would like to register l
my apprehensions, along with others, of the so-called "take-7 over" of Bodega Bay by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company for the production of atomic energy for power. I add to the protestations of the site for this operations, not only for the ruining of a scenic spot of rare and unusual beauty, but for causing severe dama6e to this fishing industry there. It would be wonderful indeed in this " land of the free" if we could hear public debate on this subject. From all I can gather, "PG&E" is railroading this project through.
Possibly this letter should.be forwarded to the head of the Atomic Energy Commission (a Californiari, I understand). Ifso,,.7 I

granted a certificate for the project, the Atomic Energy Commission will hold hearings with regard to the safety p aspects.
The Federal Power Comunission has no regulatory responsibility in connection with this project.
