Dear Mr. Conway:

This refers to your letter of May 14, 1963 concerning a press release and Memorandum of Action, both' dated May 6, 1963, and issued by the Northern California Association to Preserve Bodega Head and Harbor..

The doctaments issued by the Association relate to the seisamlogical characteristics of the site for the proposed Bodega Head reactor of Pacific Gas and Electric Company. We had previously received copies of these documents and the teahaical staff-is reviewing them, including the_ allegations contained therein, in connec-tion with preparations for the hearing on PG64's application for s' construction permit. The staff's review has not yet been completed. We expect, however, that the suitability of the Bodega Head site from a saistnological standpoint will be one of the important matters to be considered at the hearing.
