O \\ e/ { I appreciate the assurance in your let e .g i August 12, signed by Mr. Tape, that the Atomic Enere8 Commission vill schedule a local public hearing on the planned nuclear power plant at Bodega Head, after the current study by the Geolo61 cal Survey is completed. The geology of the site obviously is important, considering the proximity of the San Andreas fault. As you know,.other questions on the suitability of the site also are being raised in California. -- as my mail attests. They may or may not be determinate. But whatever their merit, I think it is essential that the issues be heard and weighed by the Commission before jud - 6 ment is rendered on the Company's choice of the Bodega site. I don?t have to tell you that I am vitally interested in our over-all atomic energy program. My concern here is that it not be impaired by an injudicious decision at Bodega.
