DIAHLO CNTYOM INTERIM LICENSE REVIEW SCHEDULE The treetino with E[' case on September 15. 1977, established a schedule for completing the staff evaluation of the interim license application for the Diablo Canyon Unit 1 and preparation of a Safety Evaluation Sunplement by November 1,1977 (Memo. Allison to Stolz, dated 9/23/77).

This schedule requires completion of our' review of the earthquake probability portion of the subnittal by October 15.

We can no longer meet this schedule because of PG&E's failure to submit their analysis on a timely basis.

If a completely adequate analysis had been available for review on 9/30/77 as scheduled we could likely have completed our independent evaluation and prepared an SER supplement by October 16.

However, no time would have been available in the schedule for resolution of technical issues.

Continued delays of the PG&E submittal will necessarily cause day for day corresponding delays in the completion of our evaluation.
