The purpose of this memorandum is to make available five documents that were released on June 30, 1977 to be included in the public record of Congressional Hearings concerning Diablo Canyon.

. In the NRC's response to the subject FOIA request, the five enclosed N

-9 ~ ' documents (along with six others) were withheld. ~ Regsrding some of the documents, the matter was appealed to Mr. Gossick, who upheld the previous decis. ion.

However, on June 30, 1977, in response to a specific request contained in a letter dated June 27, 1977 from Representative Udall, the five attached documents were released. They were includegl!n the public record of hearings held on that day by the House Subc;dfan'ittee on Energy and the Environment.
