DAILY HIGHLIGHT Pilarim Nuclear Power Station On May 27, 1986, during a press conference scheduled for 2:00 p.m., the Roston Edison Comoanv announced its decision not to restart Pilgrim Station for another six weeks. The plant had been tentatively scheduled tn restart this week following repairs of MSIVs and a LPCI injection valve and change out of the mode switch.

However, the current strike by crepany employees (see Hichlight May 16,1986) has apDarentlY slowed thestt repairs.

The 6-week extensinn of this outage allows two weeks for work on hardware and four more weeks to deal with prograrvnatic issues (primarily maintenance and radiation protection) raised in recent INPO and SALP Iindinot, d
