01 REPORT 4-97-027; RE: COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION: FALSIFICATION OF THERMOLAG MATERIAL INSPECTION RECORDS The above captioned Ol report involves potential falsification of fire inspection reports by a fire protection engineer at Comanche Peak. 01 did not substantiate the allegation.
Therefore, it appears that enforcement action is not appropriate in this case for the alleged 4

wrongdoing.
However, information in the exhibits for the Of report indicates that a question arose regarding the adequacy of the inspection procedure. Region IV should evaluate this l
information and process any resulting enforcement in accordance with the Enforcement Policy.
I do not intend to request an OGC analysis of this report. We will consider the matter closed l.
unless we receive a different view within three weeks of the date of this memorandum.
