CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATION REQUEST FOR WITHHOLDING INFORMATION FROM PUBLIC DISCLOSURE (TAC No. M72400 AND M72401)
Dear Mr. Peterson:
By letter dated January 2g,1998, Duke Energy Corporation (DEC) submitted a revision to several Catawba Emergency Plan implementing Procedures (EPIPs). One revised EPIP, RP/0/B/5000/008, Enclosure 4.4, page 2 of 2, was identified by DEC as containing privacy information (i.e., home phone numbers).
Accordingly, DPC marked the privacy information in its submittal. We have reviewed DEC's submittal based on the requirements end criteria of 10 CFR 2.790 and have determined that the submitted information contains privacy information. Therefore, the privacy information so identified by DEC will be withheld from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(a)(6) and Section 103(b) of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
Withholding information from public disclosure shall not affect the right, if any, of persons properly and directly concemed to inspect the documents, if the need arises, we may send copies of the information to our consultants working in this area. We will, of course, ensure that the consultants have signed the appropriate agreements for handling proprietary information.
