! A loss of offsite pcwer event occurred at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station on

j Never.ber 11, 1987. An Ali team led by J. P. Durr of Region I performed a review

, of the event during the week of hovember 16, 1987. The results of the team's

insoer. tion are documented in the enclosed AIT report (Inspection No. 50 293/87 53

dated December 14,1987). Regien I has assessed the results of the inspection and l

has determined that there are no plant. specific issues resulting from this event

i which require NDR assistance. The Peqion informed us of this detemination by i

i

opy of the tremorandum to J. Wiggins, Recion 1, from J. Durr, Region I, dated

Januarv ?0,1987, which I have al;o enclosed.

I recuest that you review the enclosed information to determine if there are ,

any ceneric implications resulting from the event. Please advise re of your i

detemination and any proposed followup actions within 30 days. l
