Dear Mr. Herr:

I am attaching a copy of the statement of

.l He alleges certain specific electri' cal faults of construction at Comanche Peak which we believe should be investigated more thoroughly than the only other avenue open to us, that of presenting his statement as a. limited appearance statement in the operating license hearings for Comanche Peak. The members of the Board in those proceedings, the NRC Staff attorney Marjorie Rothschild, and the attorney for the Applicants, Nicholas Reynolds, am awam _ of r and the fact that his allegations concern electrical matters including problems w'ith the control panels. They do not know the specific details of his allegations.

We ask tnat you excedite this invesitg3 tion as much as possible and that the following be done:

1. That the investigation t: maoe by you personnally. ,

3. Tnat I be kept apprised of the progress of your investigation. .

5. That the Applicants be asked to waive the usual period for review "

for proprietary information due to the fact that the Comanche Peak licensing hearings are due to resune Septenter 13.
