Dear Ms. Breman:

This is in partial response to your letter dated September 11, 1984, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA),

copies of three categories of documents regarding an alleged 1967 accident at the Radiation Effects Laboratory (RER) or " hot cell" at Georgia Nuclear Laboratory, Dawsonville, Georgia.

As you discussed by telephone with Mr. Frank W. Karas of my staff on October 23, 1984, you will review the Appendix A list of documents identified as subject to your request. You stated you will then arrange for a Washington, DC collegaue to review these doctanents on file in the NRC's Public Document Room (PDR) located at 1717 H Street, NW, Washington, DC to determine which particular documents you want copied at the PDR.

The staff is continuing to search for additional records subject to your request. We will notify you when that search is completed.
