LICENSEE ACTION ON PREVIOUSLY IDENTIFIED ENFTCEMENT MATTERS

The particulate air sampler filter was not collected and analyzed on a weekly

schedule.

The weekly collection and analysis of the sampler filter was re-

established on May 19,1971 (letter R. B. Ormsby, Lockheed, to J. G. Davis,

Region II, dated June 2, 1971). The revised schedule was verified during

-_the inspection.

MANAGEMENT INTERVIEW

Dodd and Ham were present and directly involved during the entire inspection

visit. At the conclusion of the inspection, the inspector informed Dodd

that the inspection verified that those actions required to be taken by

Lockheed in Sections B and D of the Decommissioning Plan had been completed.

Dodd stated that he would request DRL to terminate License No. R-86 and that,

concurrently, he would request that the State of Georgia issue a byproduct

license.

The inspection was an examination of the decommissioning activities conducted

at the 3 Mwt unshielded research reactor since May 19, 1971.-

The inspection consisted of a review of the shipping, transfer, and receipt

records of those components listed in Sections B and D of the Decommissioning

Plan, discussions with personnel,'and observation by the inspector.

SHIPPING, TRANSFER, AND RECEIPT RECORDS

Fuel assembly records for 24 irradiated ' assemblies and 38 nonirradiated

The two 10 Kwt Iockheed tour reactors were purchased by the AEC Division of

Technical Information and relocated to Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
