( f August 1995 The reactor operated continuously in August with the following exceptions: five shutdowns for scheduled maintenance and/or refueling. There were no unscheduled shutdowns this month.

Major maintenance items for the month included: replacing the compensated ion chamber detector for nuclear instrument channel #2 (intermediate range monitor); shipping eight depleted fuel elements in the BMI-1 cask; replacing both the high and low speed drive motors for the intermediate range monitor chart recorder; replacing control blade "D" blade full in photo-cell bulb.

HOURS OPERATED THIS PERIOD 680 TOTAL HOURS OPERATED 190,287 HOURS AT FULL POWER THIS PERIOD 677 TOTAL HOURS AT FULL POWER 187,307 INTEGRATED POWER THIS PERIOD 282 MWD TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER 72,193 MWD  !

MAINTENANCE ACTIVITY 8/7/95 Refueled - removed core 95-32, loaded core 95-33. Replaced control blade "D" blade full in photo-cell bulb.

1 8/14/95 Refueled - removed core 95-33, loaded core 95-34. Replaced the compensated ion chamber detector for nuclear instrument channel #2 (intermediate range monitor).
