Gentlemen:

VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY l NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 SUPPLEMENT TO PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGES

  • In our letter dated March 16,1984 (Serial No.136), we proposed Technical Specification changes for North Anna Unit Nos. 1 and 2. The proposed changes were to revise the existing Technical Specifications to reflect  !

the new License Event Report System as provided in Section 50.73 to 10 CFR Part 50 and the immediate notification requirements for operating nuclear power reactors as provided in Section 50.72 to 10 CFR Part 50.

The purpose of this letter is to resubmit pages from the March 16,19M submittal due to the fact that the NRC could not approve those pages because the pages also indicated references to other previously submitted changes that have not been approved by the NRC. The resubmitted pages delete references to the other previously submitted changes and only indi-cate changes related to the requirements of Sections 50.72 and 50.73 to 10 CFR Part 50. The proposed Technical Specification changes for North Anna Unit No. 1 are provided in Attachment 1. The proposed Technical Specifi-cation changes for North Anna Unit No. 2 are provided in Attachment 2. A discussion of the proposed Technical Specification changes is provided in Attachment 3.

This request has been reviewed and approved by the Station Nuclear Safety and Operating Committee and the Safety Evaluation and Control staff.

, safety question as defined in 10 CFR 50.59 and does not pose a signif-icant hazards consideration as dafined in 10 CFR 50.92.

Since this letter supplements our previous submittal and license admend-ment fees were submitted with the previous submittal, no additional license amendment fees are enclosed.

Very truly yours,-
