Dear Mr. Chilk:
DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 EMERGENCY OPERATIONS FACILITY LOCATION POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 On March 30, 1983 we sent you a letter requesting a copy of the NRC Staff's recommendation to the Commissioners regarding Wisconsin Electric Pcieer Company's request to locate the Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) for the Point Beach Nuclear Plant at our corporate headquarters.
We indicated that, based on our review of the Staff's papers, we may request permission to appear before the Commissioners to provide a short presentation concerning the merits of our request.
We have now been advised that NRC policy is to withhold such Staff papers until after consideration by the Commissioners.
Accordingly, we hereby request that we be informed of the date, i
time, and location for the Commission meeting at which the paper l
concerning the location of the Point Beach EOF will be considered.
l We also request that we be permitted to address the Commissioners to ensure that our position on the location of the EOF is adequately understood.
