Director of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Division of Li nsing U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Ccmnission Washington D.C. 20555 Re: Location of Emergency Offsite Facility for Rancho Seco Nuclear Power Plant

Dear Sir:

W1 have reviewed the proposed location for the errergency offsite facility (EOF) for Mncho Seco and find it acceptable.

Although not near the plant site, the proposed location will provide ready access by state personnel as well as Sacramento County officials. We reocynize additional work needs to be done on renodeling and otherwise refurbishing this facility; nevertheless, we are certain we can work with the Sacrarrento Municipal Utility District to protect public health in the event of a nuclear power plant at:ident.

Sincerely, O

J. 1 '
