The minor leak of radioactive steam which occurred on or about May 9, 1990 in the containment building at Unit 2 at the South Texas Nuclear Plant. Apparently the leak existed since April 22 but the NRC had not been able to pin down the source, which proved to a defective weld.

This request includes, but is not limited to, any and all documents, reports, memos and notes regarding' information received by anyone with respect to the leak and the reporting-of the leak, and upon which information was relied on in order to determine that the leak represents no hazard to the public.

I am generally interested in the cause of this problem. and have a strong personal and professional interest in the safety of the South Texas Nuclear Plant and.its regulatory compliance.
