Conditions Prior to Occurrence:

Unit 1 at 99%.

Unit 2 at 99%.

Unit 3 in refueling outage.

Action specified in the Technical Specification Surveillance Itequirements met due to inoperable eqiiipment . Describe.

None.

Apparent Cause of Occurrence Instrument drift.

An alysis of Occurrence.

There was no effect on the health or safety of the public, no release of activity, no damage to the plant or equipment, and no resulting significant chain of everts.

Corrective Actio 3:

The Barton model 288'and Barksdale B2T-MlZSS pressure switches were recalibrated to proper setpoints and SI 4.2.B-7 was successfully completed. DCR 1398 replaces these switches with analog transmitters and trip units. TVA is preparing an action plan regarding this design change which will be forwarded to NRC in the Niu N, l'a: BFRO-50-259/77002, 78024, 80087, 80029, 81001; 260/80004, 80029,-
