  • e Operating License No. DPR-54 for the Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating i

Station.in response to your request dated June 10, 1981, as revised by your September 22, 1981 letter.

This amendment modifies the license to include revisions to the i

previously appveyed Rancho Seco Physical Security Plan (the Plan).

We have completed our review and evaluation of your submittals dated June 10,1961, and.Septanber 22, 1981, which transmitted Amendraent 9 f

to the Plan and have concluded that the Plan, as revised, will provide the protection needed to satisfy the objectives of the requirements of 10 CFR Part 73.

This amendment is effective immediately. Certain itens, as identified in Amendment 9 to the Plan, shall be fully implemented within 30 days of this approval. Should you be unable to meet this implementation date, please submit an implementation schedule for those items.

This amendment appifes to the Rancho Seco Physical Security Plan and, l

therefore, does not authorize anchange in effluent types or total amounts nor an increase in power. level, and will not result in any significant i

environmental impact. Having made this determination, we have further concluded that this amendment involves an action which-is insignificant s

from the standpojat of environmental 1:spact and pursuant to 10 CFR 51.5(d)(4) that an environmental impact statement, or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with the issuance of this amendment.

We will continue to withhold all material related to the physical

. protection of your facility from public disclosure in acc rdance with o

the provisions of 10_ CFR 2.790(d).

A copy of the Notice of Issuance is also enclosed.
