INTERVEN0RS' CONCERNS REGARDING THE COOLING TOWER PIPING AT THE PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT (50-440. 50-441)

The attached letter addresses the subject of potential damage to the piping between the Cooling tower and the Turbine Condensor at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. The letter has been reviewed by the OI Chicago Field Office and an investigation does not appear to be warranted.

However, preparation of a response by the technical engineering staff does appear to be in order.

Please review this matter with your staff and provide an appropriate response.

We would appreciate receiving a copy of your answer to the letter.

Also, the SRI-Perry has been provided with a copy of the letter for his information.

We plan no further action regarding this matter.
