During the testing l lo44l l the turbine had experienced an overspeed condition approaching 150 percent of its 4000 l lo isI l rpm normal full flow speed and required operator action to stop it.

An immediate in-l lo ls l l vestigation revealed that the turbine's governor and a component in its speed control I lo l7l l circuitry had failed. The-turbine was repaired, tested and returned to service on l

October 25, 1980.
