DPR-44 and DPR-56 NRG Docket Nos. 50-277 and 50-278
Subject:
Application for Subsequent Renewed Operating Licenses - Update per 10 CFR 2.390
Reference:
Letter from Michael P. Gallagher, Exelon Generation Company, LLC to NRG Document Control Desk, dated July 10, 2018, "Application for Subsequent Renewed Operating Licenses" Per the Reference letter, on July 10, 2018 Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon) submitted the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Units 2 and 3, Subsequent License Renewal Application (SLRA) to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRG), in the form of a single CD-ROM.
Based on review of the information contained on the CD-ROM, the NRG determined that one figure in the SLRA's Environmental Report main text contains sensitive information of an historic nature that renders it inappropriate for public disclosure. Therefore, this letter provides notification that replacement files have been provided to the NRC's Document Control Desk in the form of a single, replacement CD-ROM. The replacement CD-ROM label contains the words "Update per 10 CFR 2.390" to distinguish it from the CD-ROM originally submitted. The new CD-ROM contains the following seven files:
001 _PB_SLRA.pdf 8,881,000 bytes, publicly available 002A _PB_ERMain_Non-public.pdf 90,496,000 bytes, not publicly available 0028 _PB_ERMain_Public.pdf 80, 126,000 bytes, publicly available 003 _PB_ER_AppA_B.pdf 31,218,000 bytes, publicly available 004_PB_ER_AppC1_Part_1_of_2_.pdf 75,051,000 bytes, publicly available 005 _PB_ER_AppC1_Part_2_of_2_.pdf 96, 117,000 bytes, publicly available 006 _PB_ER_AppC2_C3_D_E.pdf 20,276,000 bytes, publicly available
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Change to Application for Subsequent Renewed Operating Licenses Docket Nos. 50-277 and 50-278 July 24, 2018 Page 2 Exelon has reviewed the information in the above files and verified that none of that information is marked as proprietary.
The files designated with names beginning with "001", "003," "004," "005," and "006" are identical to the corresponding files submitted with the Reference letter, and do not contain sensitive information.
The file named "002A _PB_ERMain_Non-public.pdf" contains sensitive information and includes appropriate labeling on the cover page and on Page 3-63 indicating as such. The Enclosure to this letter provides an Affidavit supporting the request to withhold this version of the SLRA's Environmental Report main text from public disclosure.
The file named "0028 _PB_ERMain_Public.pdf" does not contain sensitive information, and is appropriately labeled on the cover page and on Page 3-63 such that it may be used as a public version of the SLRA's Environmental Report main text.
The commitments made in Appendix A, Section A.5 of the PBAPS SLRA as transmitted in the Reference letter (and contained in file "001 _PB_SLRA.pdf" on the replacement CD-ROM) remain unchanged.
If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Nancy Ranek, Environmental Lead, Exelon License Renewal Projects, at 610-765-5369.
I declare under the penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.
Executed on Respectfully,

- 1. I am Vice President - License Renewal and Decommissioning, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon), and I have been authorized to execute this affidavit on behalf of Exelon.
- 2. Figure 3.7-1 in the Main Environmental Report portion of the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Application for Subsequent Renewed Operating Licenses, originally submitted on July 10, 2018, contains information of an historic or culturally significant nature for which public disclosure is inappropriate.
