OF A TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON APRIL 26, 2018, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND ENTERGY REGARDING THE NEED FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO SUPPORT THE RIVER BEND STATION, UNIT 1 LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION REVIEW (CAC NO. MF9757)

Dear Mr. Maguire:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of Entergy Operations, Inc. (the applicant) held a telephone conference call on April 26, 2018, to discuss the applicants draft response to staffs Requests for Additional Information (RAIs). The telephone conference call was held at the request of NRC following a public conference call related to these RAIs on April 10, 2018 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18120A135) to ensure the applicant understands the staffs concerns on these topics.

The conference call participants are listed in Enclosure 1. Enclosure 2 itemizes the RAIs, including a chronology and the ADAMS accession numbers for the associated draft responses submitted by the applicant prior to the April 26, 2018, call. Enclosure 3 lists the conclusions from the discussions of the draft responses. Mr. Dave Lach of your staff agreed that all the responses would be formally submitted to the NRC within 30 days from the April 10, 2018 call.
