- Extension of Schedule for Reporting Surveillance Capsule Test Results Under the Integrated Surveillance Program (TAC NO. MF6759), (EPRI Letter 2015-050)," April 12, 2016.

Enclosed are five (5) paper copies of the report "BWRVIP-298NP: BWR Vessel and Internals Project, Testing and Evaluation of the Hope Creek 120° Capsule," EPRI Technical Report 3002007844, October 2016. This report is being transmitted to the NRC for information only.

This report describes testing and evaluation of the Hope Creek 120° capsule. These results will be used to monitor embrittlement as part of the BWRVIP Integrated Surveillance Program (ISP).

The materials in the Hope Creek 120° capsule are identified in BWRVIP-86, Revision 1-A, as representative for target materials for the Hope Creek reactor vessel and no other plants in the BWRVIP ISP. Therefore, there is no potential for the Hope Creek 120° capsule evaluation results to effect any plant's approved Pressure-Temperature (P-T) curves other than those of Hope Creek. Note that consistent with the reporting requirements of 10 CFR 50 Appendix H, Paragraph IV.C, PSEG's plans to address the effect of the 120° capsule results on the Hope, Creek P-T curves are being submitted to the NRC concurrent with this capsule report submittal.

See Reference 1.

It should be noted that the BWRVIP previously requested an extension to the 10 CFR 50 Appendix H surveillance capsule testing reporting requirements and committed to providing the Together ... Shaping the Future of Electricity PALO ALTO OFFICE 3420 Hillview Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304-1395 USA
