Dear Mr. McCartney:
Thank you for your letter dated June 6, 2016, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML16161A534) in response to our letter and Notice of Violation (ML16127A155), dated May 6, 2016. Our letter, which requested a response, cited NextEra Energy Seabrook (NextEra) for being in violation of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Appendix B, Criterion V, Instructions, Procedures, and Drawings, for NextEras failure to perform operability determinations for identified non-conforming conditions.
We have reviewed your response and find that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201, Notice of Violation. During future inspections, we will review the implementation of your corrective actions to determine their adequacy and that full compliance has been achieved.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of the NRCs ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
