SUMMARY

Tables 1 and 2 summarize the quantity of radioactive gaseous and liquid effluents, respectively, for each quarter of 2014. There were no gaseous or liquid releases in 2014. Table 3 summarizes waste shipped off-site for disposal for each half year of 2014. There was no waste shipped for disposal in 2014.Appendices A and B indicate the status of reportable items per the requirements of the Off-site Dose Calculation Manual (ODCM). There were no reportable items in 2014.Appendix C presents any changes in the ODCM. The ODCM was revised in 2014.CY 2014 Annual RER Report Page 2 of 16 Table 1 HADDAM NECK ISFSI Effluent and Waste Disposal Annual Report 2014 Gaseous Effluents-Summation of All Releases N/A*= Not Applicable There are no gaseous effluents associated with the Haddam Neck Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI)CY 2014 Annual RER Report Page 3 of 16 Table 1A HADDAM NECK ISFSI Effluent and Waste Disposal Annual Report 2014 Gaseous Effluents

Therefore, an assessment of radiation doses to the most likely exposed member(s) of the public to show compliance with 40CFR190 or 1OCFR72.104 from effluents was not required.CY 2014 Annual RER Report Page 13 of 16 Appendix B Abnormal Releases There were no abnormal releases of radioactive materials from the site in 2014.CY 2014 Annual RER Report Page 14 of 16 Appendix C Off-site Dose Calculation Manual Changes There were changes to the Off-site Dose Calculation Manual in 2014. The primary change was to increase the TLD deployment period from quarterly to semi-annually.

An analysis of TLD data over the past 5 years indicated very small dose totals at all monitoring locations and very little seasonal variation at any of the monitoring locations.

Also, one monitoring station was eliminated (Schmidt Cemetery) because the land at and around that location is no longer owned or controlled by CY and access to the monitoring location cannot be assured going forward.Summary of Changes Made in Revision 24 of the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual for the Haddam Neck ISFSI Section Change A, D.1.1, D.2 Added references to 10 CFR 72.104(a).

A, D.2 As applicable, expanded references to 40 CFR 190 to 40 CFR 190.10(a) or 40 CFR 190.11.A, D.1.1, D.2, E, F.1, Administrative, editorial, or grammatical changes.F.2, Appendix A B.3 Defined the property boundary and the controlled area, and modified the definition of the site boundary.D.3 The Controlled Area boundary is the location that the site utilizes for establishing that the dose to members of the public complies with 10 CFR 72.104(a) and 40 CFR 190.10(a).

D.3 Identifies that realistic occupancy factors are applied to the net exposure values to determine the annual dose.F.1 Currently, the section requires missing data to be submitted in the next annual report. This was revised to identify that if the data is available, it will be submitted in the next annual report.G.1, G.2, G.3, G.4 Added references to the NRC Safety Evaluation dated November 26, 2007, 10 CFR 72.104, 40 CFR 190.10, and 40 CFR 190.11.Appendix A Eliminated the TLD at the Schmidt Cemetery.

As a result, the total number of locations was reduced from 9 to 8.F.2, Appendix A Reduced the Frequency of Sampling from Quarterly to Semi-Annual.

Appendix A Eliminated the direction and distance from the Haddam Neck Plant site for Location Numbers 1-IF and 6-IF.Figure 1 The figure is replaced with a higher resolution figure that shows the property boundary, site boundary, and controlled area boundary.CY 2014 Annual RER Report Page 15 of 16 Summary of Change Made in Revision 25 of the Offsite Dose Calculation Manual for the Haddam Neck ISFSI In Revision 24, Section F.2 of the ODCM was revised to state: "The Annual Radioactive Effluent Report shall include semi-annual quantities of .... radioactive liquid and gaseous effluents released from the unit in the Regulatory Guide 1.21 (Rev. 1, 06/74) format." The Regulatory Guide recommends that licensees provide this information on a quarterly basis. To be consistent with the Regulatory Guide, the time period for documenting radioactive liquid and gaseous releases in the Annual Radioactive Effluent Report was restored to quarterly.
