DEGRADATION OF SALT WATER COOLING SYSTEM AT SAN ONOFRE 1
- CAUSED BY A LOSS OF INSTRUMENT AIR Enclosed is a copy of a technical review report on the degradation of San Onofre - 1's salt water cooling system which took place on March 16, 1983.
The event was caused by a loss of instrument air. As noted in the report the licensee is taking corrective action such that any future loss of instrument air will not result in degradation of the salt water cooling system.
