This letter confirms the telephone conversation between you staff and Mr. Scott Shaeffer of this office on November 15, 2012 concerning a Category 1 Public Meeting which has been scheduled for December 3, 2012, at 10 a.m. - 12 Noon (EST). The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss flood related improvement strategies at the Sequoyah and Watts Bar nuclear plants, and is being conducted at your request.

LOCATION: NRC Region II Office 245 Peachtree Center Avenue NE Suite 1200 Atlanta, GA 30303-1257 PURPOSE: The purpose of this meeting is for TVA to provide an update to the NRC staff regarding flood related improvement strategies at the Sequoyah Nuclear plant and the Watts Bar nuclear plant. The NRC's Policy Statement, "Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings," effective May 28, 2002 applies to this meeting.
