Input Needed for NRR Management Meeting Art, To support an NRR management meeting, DORL PMs have been asked to provide write-ups which include any significant technical issues for their respective plants. As a starting point we are using the write-ups that we provide for the periodic discussions between the Region and the Chairman on plant status (last update was in May). Here are 2 items for Salem that may need to be updated/revised:

Outside of Scope

'0 During the spring 2010, Salem Unit 1 refueling outage, PSEG identified significant degradation for some of the buried auxiliary feedwater (AFW) piping. Based on preliminary UT measurements of the piping, the licensee determined that AFW system operability could not be assured through the next operating cycle. PSEG replaced all of the affected buried pipe. As part of the extent of condition review, PSEG is assessing the operability of the Salem Unit 2 AFW buried piping. NRC Regional and Headquarters staff are closely following the licensee's activities.

I would appreciate any feedback from Region I for these items, Note, my input is due on Monday, so Irequest that you provide any comments by COB Friday.
