USNRC subsequently transmitted the ITS to Salem and Hope Creek on April 17, 2023. Terms and Conditions (T&C) 13 of the ITS states that necropsy reports should be submitted to the NMFS with the annual review of incident reports or, if not yet available, within 60 days of the incidental take. Pursuant to T&C 13, PSEG hereby provides two necropsy reports performed by the Marine Mammal Standing Center in Brigantine, NJ for incidental takes of Kemps Ridley sea turtles that occurred on June 12, 2023.
PSEG additionally requests direction from NMFS on suitable facilities to submit collected sturgeon fin clips for genetic analysis in accordance with T&C 9 of the ITS. This information was previously requested on June 6, 2023. Once received, an agreement will be established with one of the listed facilities for transfer and analysis of the fin clips in accordance with T&Cs 9, 20, and 30.
