CLOSURE OF INVESTIGATION (OI 4-2006-024) CORRECTED CASE NUMBER

Dear Mr. Sheppard:

This refers to an investigation conducted by the NRC Office of Investigations (OI) regarding activities involving The Wackenhut Corporation (TWC) at the South Texas Project. OI initiated the investigation to determine if a former contract security supervisor, employed by TWC, was subjected to discrimination for raising safety concerns.

Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, this allegation was not substantiated. The investigation results have been reviewed by the NRC staff. The NRC plans no further action and considers this investigation closed.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
