SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION POTENTIALLY RELEVANT AND MATERIAL TO LICENSING BOARD PROCEEDING IN THE MATTER OF CATAWBA NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 In conformance with the Commissions policy on notification of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (ASLB) of new, relevant, and material information, this memorandum provides the information discussed below.

The attached license Amendments dated March 3, 2005, and the attached Exemptions from Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations for the Use of Mixed Oxide Fuel Lead Test Assemblies dated March 3, 2005, were issued by the staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission regarding the use of mixed oxide lead test assemblies at one of the two units of the Catawba Nuclear Power Station.

This information is being brought to the attention of the ASLB and all parties, as it may be relevant and material to issues pending before the ASLB.
