Request to Postpone 2003 License Examination

Dear Mr. Lanksbury:

To better support the restart effort at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS),

FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) requests that the initial license examination scheduled for the weeks of June 16 and June 23, 2003, be postponed. After restart FENOC will contact the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Operations Branch to discuss the intentions of rescheduling the exam.

This request constitutes a change in DBNPS's response to the NRC annual examination letter.
