Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings a.

(Closed).

Infraction (50-416/79-21-01), LPCS system globe valve F012 incorrectly installed. The inspector reviewed all actions taken in reference to MP&L's responses to violation dated November 30, 1979 and December 19, 1979.

In addition, Bechtel's letters (file # s 0262/0490 of November 28, 1979 and 16694.3 of September 7, 1979) were reviewed for completeness and content. MP&L reactor engineering department concurred with the As-built condition of LPCS system globe valve F012.

All response action has been completed. ')h> further action is required.

Change to project engineering drawings. The inspector reviewed the corrective steps taken and results achieved of paragraph D to Bechtel's letter file # 0262/0490 of November 28, 1979. All action has been completed. No further action is required.

Construction Surveillance The inspector examined the following as-built valves and associated a.

piping isometric drawing to ensure the as-built condition complied with the applicable isometric drawings. Valves observed were located in the Unit # 1 containment and auxiliary building.

The inspector visually checked the weld rod ovens and attendant in Unit # 1' auxiliary biulding. This area'wa's checked to ensure the %

t-3-attendant was maintaining the weld rod ovens in accordance with ap-plicable procedures. The procedure being used was WFMC-1 Rev 2

" Welding Filler material control procedure specification". This was determined to be an up to date procedure.

No items of noncompliance or deviation were identified in the areas inspected.

Warehouse Surveillance The inspector observed the storage conditions implemented in both Bechtel and MP&L general warehouses.

It was noted that at the time of the inspec-tion, additional lighting was being installed in the areas inspected.

No items of noncompliance or deviation were identified in the areas inspected.
