This routine, unannounced inspection was conducted in the areas of: Management Support, Security Program Plans and Audits; Detection and Assessment Aids; Testing and Maintenance; Compensatory Measures; Records and Reports; Locks, Keys and Combinations, Security System Power Supply; Lighting; Personnel

Training and Qualification - General Requirements, and Safeguards Contingency Plan Implementation Review.

Results:'

Inspection results indicated a continuing problem in the Catawba security program regarding the ~ control of access to the protected and vital areas, Additional violations, similar to those addressed by Inspection Report Nos. 50-413/89-23 and 50-414/89-23, dated August 7,1989, were identified as follows:

Failure to delete security badges after termination of access authorization - three examples.

Failure to properly process and control visitors - three examples..-
