Inspection 50-412/82-04 This refers to your letter dated June 18, 1982, in response to our letter dated llay 13,1982.
Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in your letter. As discussed in a conference call on June 25,1982 between Messrs. L. Tripp and G. Walton of this office and Mr. R. Coupland, Director of Quality Control Beaver Valley Unit 2 and others representing Duquesne Light, we understand that no actual welding by Schneider Power Corporation has been affected by the failure to certify weld procedure qualification tests to ASME Section III in addition to ASME Section IX. These actions will be examined during a future inspection of your licensed program.
