Fire hose not provided for containment host stations. NRR memorandum of November 14, 1980, from l
!
V. Benaraya to S. E. Bryan, IE:HQ stated that the storage of fire hose outside the containment in lieu of providing fire hose at each connec-tion was approved during NRR's fire protection review. Therefore, this item is not a violation or deviation and is closed.

13, Automatic-Sprinkler Systems.
This report. will be sent by the
licensee t'o NRR for evaluation. ' This item will remain-open pending the l
results of NRR'.s review.

c.
(Closed) Deviation Item (364/80-42-01): Inadequate Fire Protection QA
'
Program.
The licensee basi conducted supplemental inspections with
!
appropriate documentation to verify that the -fire protection systems have been installed. in accordance with the design and construction documents. This item is closy.
!.
d.
.(Closed) Unresolved Item (364/80-42-02):
Installation and tests of fire protection systems are not complete. The operations startup and test program for all fire protectiorr systems is practically complete.
The licensee's QC/QA program appears adequate to assure that the fire protection features will be installed, inspected and tested prior to
'
fuel load. This item is not a violation or deviation and is closed.
!.
e.
(Closed) Unresolved Item (364/80-42-03):, Spray only type fire nozzles not provided for fire hose stations in cable tunnels. The licensee has
evaluated the use of the combination straight stream spray type nozzles
!
installed on the cable-tunnel fire hose system and advised that these i
nozzles are adequate for the type of potential' fires that could occur within the tunnels.
The fire brigade will be trained in the proper use of these type
nozzles. This action appears satisfactory.
This item is not con-sidered a violation or deviation and is closed.
