Areas Inspected:
Access Controls (search); Access Controls (vital areas); Security Organization (training); and Licensee Event followup.
The inspection resulted from a licensee Event Report related to the physical search of a vehicle entering the pro-tected area. The inspection involved 16 hours1.851852e-4 days <br />0.00444 hours <br />2.645503e-5 weeks <br />6.088e-6 months <br /> onsite by one NRC Regional based in-spector and one Headquarters based inspector.
Results:
The licensee was found to be in compliance with NRC requirements in the area of Security Organization (training) and Licensee Event followup. However, an item of noncompliance (violation level) was found in the area of Access Controls (Search) and (Vital Areas) in that the licensee failed to maintain positive access centrol to the Protected and Vital Areas because of the failure to perform the re-quired search of a vehicle prior to its entry into.the Protected Area.
