NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-275/96-11; 50-323/96-11 This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. T. 0.
McKernon and others of this office on May 20-24, 1996, at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and
~ facility.
The purpose of the inspection was to determine whether activities authorized by the license were conducted safely and in accordance with NRC requirements.
At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with Mr.
W. Fujimoto and those members of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
Areas examined during the inspection included a review of the ongoing licensed operator-requalification program and followup to previously identified inspection findings.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities in progress.
The results of this inspection are documented in the enclosed report.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice
