SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-259/86-05, 50-260/86-05, AND 50-296/86-05 Thank you for your supplemental responses of May 9 and 20,1986, to our Notice of Violation and Unresolved Items issued on March 5, 1986, concerning activities conducted at your Browns Ferry facility. We are evaluating your responses to the unresolved items and apparent violation which is still under consideration for escalated enforcement action.
Based on a telephone communication between Mr. R. Rogers of your office and Mr. F. Cantrell of this office, we understand that, in addition to the action described in your response of May 20, 1986, a review of previous Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) changes will be completed and corrections needed will be made in the annual July 1987 FSAR update.
If your understanding of this issue is not as stated, please inform this office promptly.
