EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATION INSPECTION OF R. E. GINNA STATION (INSPECTION N0. 050-244/87-03)
This letter confirms the dates of February 9-13, 1987 for the NRC equipment qualification (EQ) inspection for the R. E. Ginna station. These dates were established during a previous telephone conversation with Mr. George Wroble on January 7, 1987 by Mr. C. J. Anderson of this office. The inspection will take place at your corporate offices.
A management entrance meeting is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on February 9,1987 with a management exit meeting tentatively scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on February 13, 1987 at the corporate offices. A plant walkdown inspection of specific EQ equipment is planned for Wednesday, February 11, 1987.
The inspection will include the following:
1.
Review of your implementation of a 10 CFR 50.49 program including preservation of the qualified status of qualified equipment.
2.
Review of your implementation of Technical Evaluation Report / Safety Evaluation Report EQ corrective action commitments.
3.
Review of EQ documentation files.
4.
Physical inspection of selected plant equipment and selected field wiring.
