p LER AITAC10!E.NT - RU #1-81-18 Facility: BSEP Unit No.1 Event Date: 3-2-81 An historical review of all plant Yarway type instrumentation has shown that this is not a reoccut -ing problem. Several instruments have had an isolated case of set screws comrtg loose causing the instrument to be inoperable, but no trend has been establis."ed.

This type instrumentation is presently being ceplaced during outages of sufficient length with analog type instrumentation which will solve this mode of failure. Procedures are being revised to assure that these set screws are being

. checked during each calibration to assure that they are secure in place until the Yarway instruments are replaced. These procedures will be revised by April 30, 1981.
