Dear Mr. Case:

Just prior 'to my departure on August 29, we discussed the

- possibility. of obtaining higher seismic design forces for equipment items of the Bodega reactor by using zero damp-ing instead of 0. 5'/o damping. I neglected to state that this approach would not be useful where the period of vibration is small - say 0.1 of a second or less, since damping is not a factor in the response under these conditions.
